ANBC was present at the Second Africa Regional Consultative Group Meeting, held on November 27 and 28, 2025, in Marrakech, Morocco. Organized by the International Committee on Credit Reporting (ICCR), a committee linked to the The World Bank, The meeting brought together representatives from various countries to discuss advances in sustainability, financial inclusion and fair access to credit.
Our president, Elias Sfeir , presented the topic “The Brazilian experience in implementing ESG data” at the international panel, highlighting how Brazil has integrated environmental, social and governance criteria into the credit information system.
The exhibition brought concrete evidence:
-ESG data complements traditional risk assessment models
-The dual perspective analysis revealed four key profiles among Brazilian producers, with 75% having Good ESG + Good Credit, representing low risk and high compliance
-ESG scores strengthen financial inclusion, especially among small farmers.
The debate was moderated by Ahmed ‘Tunde Popoola and had the brilliant participation of Mats Rosenberg (Creditinfo Group), Jeannine Naudé Viljoen (TransUnion Africa) and Claudio Doronzo (CRIF Global Consulting).
ANBC's presence reinforces Brazil's leading role in global debates on sustainable credit.
In 2025, the organization took its expertise to all continents, strengthening the exchange of good practices and driving innovation in the credit ecosystem.
“Sharing the Brazilian experience and learning from other realities is essential for modernizing the market and transforming credit into an instrument for social and economic development. We have brought concrete results to Brazil, reinforcing the materiality of international initiatives,” says Sfeir.
