TAX TO REGULARIZE CREDIT NOTE IS A SCAM
A postal notification sent in the name of the Receita Federal (Federal Revenue Service), demanding that taxpayers pay a supposed Score Verifier Tax, is a fake. The message claims that the recipient needs to pay off a debt in order to increase their credit score. The tax referred to is non-existent. The communication makes improper use of the Receita Federal logo and the false signature of a tax auditor.
The National Association of Credit Bureaus (ANBC) warns that there is no tax on the regularization of credit notes.
