ANBC sponsored the Banking Anywhere Forum: The Expansion of Financial Services, by Cantarino Brasileiro, held in São Paulo.
The president of ANBC, Elias Sfeir, He spoke on the panel “Data analysis for the generation of inclusive credit”.
“Credit involves a relationship of trust between lender and borrower. The bureaus promote transparency in this relationship by producing reports and credit notes, for example, which serve as inputs for credit analysis. For this, databases are fundamental, and they have grown as the digitalization of society has advanced,” said Sfeir. “The Positive Registry, for example, which represents one of these databases, has already brought financial inclusion to millions of people who were previously overlooked. The telecommunications sector, one of the sources of the Positive Registry, has contributed to this. Data from the electricity sector is now coming in, which should also bring financial inclusion. Brazil has been doing well in this scenario, to the point where we have shared the Cadastro Positivo model with the World Bank”.
The panel also took part: Tadeu Silva, president of ACREFI; Dorival Dourado, from AF Partners; and Pedro Arlant, from Provenir.
