ANBC will coordinate the panel on the evolution of credit in the telecommunications sector at the 24th edition of Futurecom
Association to hold debate with representatives of credit bureaus Equifax | BoaVista, Quod, Serasa Experian, SPC Brasil and TransUnion
As a supporter of Futurecom, Latin America's largest connectivity, innovation and technology event, the National Association of Credit Bureaus (ANBC) is taking part in the program with the panel “Evolution of credit in Telecom - challenges and opportunities in collaboration with credit bureaus”. Mediated by Elias Sfeir, president of the organization, the debate is scheduled for the 10th (Thursday), in the Future Talks Arena, starting at 4pm.
Sfeir will be joined by Ricardo Raposo, VP Data & Analytics at Equifax | Boa Vista; Ricardo Kalichsztein, CEO of Quod; Felipe Araújo, Executive Manager of Analytics at Serasa Experian; Christian Nascimento, Head of Data & Analytics at SPC Brasil; and Juarez Zortea, president of TransUnion, to discuss the main challenges faced by telecommunications operators, including default and fraud, and how credit bureaus can contribute to improving credit analysis and granting, as well as business operations.
During the chat, topics such as the role of credit bureaus in the digitalization of the credit process, data integration between operators and credit bureaus and the prospects for partnership between the telecommunications sector and bureaus will be addressed.
“The telecommunications segment, thanks to its capillarity, plays an important role in developing visibility for credit. To give you an idea, the sector included 97 million unique records in the Positive Register, including 15 million individuals and companies that were not included in the information sent by financial institutions, which were responsible for the first wave of submissions,” says the president of ANBC.
With the aim of helping to assess risk when granting credit by means of positive information, the Positive Registry allows creditors to have a clearer view of borrowers' financial behavior and to offer more favorable credit conditions for each profile. In the case of consumers, whether individuals or companies, the Positive Register provides visibility for credit, which promotes the democratization of access to financial resources.
