ANBC participates in ICCR regional meeting in Asia on the future of credit and financial inclusion
On June 4, 2025, Kuala Lumpur hosted the 4th ICCR Asia Pacific Regional Consultative Group Meeting, bringing together more than 80 representatives of credit bureaus - both consumer and commercial - and regulatory authorities from various regions. The meeting aimed to promote the exchange of experiences and strengthen international collaboration to shape the future of the credit information system and financial inclusion in the region and beyond.
Throughout the day, critical issues for the sector were debated, with an emphasis on the transformative use of alternative data in credit risk assessment. One of the examples presented was that of the Agro Bureau in Brazil, presented by Elias Sfeir, from ANBC, who showed how data related to agricultural activity can expand access to credit, especially for small and medium-sized rural producers. The initiative contributes to the generation of more accurate scores and the visibility of profiles that have historically been underserved by the traditional financial system.
ANBC's participation in this forum reinforces its commitment to innovation, data governance and the promotion of a more inclusive and efficient credit ecosystem, in line with global best practices.
