ANBC participates in Futurecom 2025 and highlights the role of credit in driving innovation and sustainability in agribusiness

ANBC's president, Elias Sfeir, will be part of a panel on strategic financial solutions to boost agribusiness

The National Association of Credit Bureaus (ANBC) will play a leading role in the 2025 edition of Futurecom, one of the main technology and innovation events in Latin America, which takes place from September 30 to October 2 in São Paulo. On the first day, the entity's president, Elias Sfeir, will take part in the panel “Future Agro: Embarking on Innovations for a Greener and More Competitive Agriculture”.

The debate will take place on September 30 at the Future Congress at 5pm and will bring together leaders from different sectors who contribute to strengthening Brazilian agribusiness, including Paola Campiello, president of Conectar Agro; Fernando Gomes de Oliveira, CIO of ACATE; Daniel Fuchs, president of Datora Telecomunicações; and Sidney Correa Nobre, analyst at Target Sistemas & Tecnologia.

Elias Sfeir will emphasize the importance of financing as a catalyst for productivity and sustainability in rural areas. For him, credit lines ensure economic viability and promote initiatives that meet environmental demands and technological progress in agriculture. “Rural credit is a lever for productivity and competitiveness. When applied with discernment, it becomes a tool for encouraging sustainability, generating gains for the producer and society,” he says.

The president of ANBC points out that agribusiness accounts for almost a quarter of Brazil's GDP and is going through a period of significant expansion. This growth reinforces the need to adopt innovative financial mechanisms in the sector to reduce information asymmetries and increase access to credit at lower risk and cost. In this context, he advocates the development of specific solutions for agriculture, including new credit analysis models that increase access to financing. “A specific credit score for agriculture makes the financial system more inclusive and opens up space for small and medium-sized producers who drive the economy and need competitive financing conditions, which makes it possible to attract private and international capital to finance agriculture with a focus on sustainability,” he emphasizes.

Sfeir points out that this tripartite alliance between the bureaus, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Central Bank of Brazil is innovative on the world stage. “We are creating a credit paradigm in the world. For this reason, the agri-branch theme has advanced at global meetings, promoting the spread of the model as an international benchmark.”

Recognized as a dynamic B2B platform, Futurecom promotes integration between companies, startups and technology and telecommunications professionals throughout the year, expanding connections and fostering business. In addition to regulatory and sustainability debates, the congress will address trends in connectivity, artificial intelligence, digital security and the impacts of technological transformation on sectors such as industry, agribusiness, energy and health.
