"The Positive Registry has been consolidated as a consumer right. This is confirmed by the fact that seven out of ten consumers say they have a positive perception of the Positive Register," said the president of ANBC, Elias Sfeirat the event held today in Brasilia to commemorate three years of the Cadastro Positivo automatic membership model. 

3 years of the Positive Register

The initiative has already benefited 22.1 million Brazilians with access to credit, registering a national average penetration rate of 79% among the economically active population. This number is likely to increase as new sectors such as energy, sanitation and gas, with a potential of almost 140 million entrants, complete the submission of their customers' information to the Cadastro Positivo database.

Also according to the data presented at the ceremony, 94% of large companies are on the Positive Register. The figures for medium-sized and small companies are 62% and 65% respectively. Among micro-enterprises, the rate is 42% and for MEIs, 13%.
