ANBC destaca el innovador modelo de crédito rural de Brasil en una conferencia mundial en México

President Elias Sfeir shares Brazil's advances in data integration and credit intelligence at WCCRC

CANCÚN, México, 13 de octubre de 2025 /PRNewswire/ - La Asociación Nacional de Burós de Crédito (ANBC) is presenting Brazil's model for data integration and credit analysis in agribusiness at the 2025 World Consumer Credit Reporting Conference (WCCRC). Este modelo sirve ahora de referencia mundial para ampliar la inclusión financiera en otros países. El evento se celebra hasta el 14 de octubre en Cancún, México.

ANBC's Executive President, Elias Sfeir, will join the panel “Unlocking Rural Potential through Data and Credit Intelligence: How Credit Bureaus Foster Inclusive Growth in Agriculture” today (October 13th), alongside representatives from the Central Bank and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. He will underscore the innovative role of credit as a catalyst for productivity and sustainability in the agricultural sector.

According to Sfeir, agribusiness – which represents 25% of Brazil's GDP – is entering a growth phase that requires modern financial mechanisms to reduce inefficiencies and expand credit access with lower costs and risks. “Un sistema de calificación crediticia adaptado a la agroindustria hace que el sector financiero sea más accesible y apoya a los pequeños y medianos productores. También crea condiciones favorables para la inversión privada e internacional que está alineada con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible”, señaló.

La iniciativa -un esfuerzo conjunto en el que participan agencias de crédito, el Ministerio de Agricultura y el Banco Central- ha sido reconocida internacionalmente como un caso modelo, inspirando a otros países a desarrollar soluciones similares. La experiencia brasileña será debatida por representantes de bancos centrales, instituciones multilaterales y oficinas de crédito de todo el mundo, con el objetivo de demostrar cómo la gobernanza de datos puede fomentar políticas de crédito rural sostenibles que equilibren la mitigación de riesgos con la promoción de nuevos flujos de financiación.

WCCRC 2025 brings together more than 25 experts from organizations including the World Bank, BIIA, IFC, ACCIS, TransUnion, Equifax, Experian, and the People's Bank of China.
