At the 4th Asia Pacific Regional Consultative Group Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, June 4th 2025 over 80 attendees from consumer and commercial credit bureaus and regulators from different regions meet to discuss and to exchange for shaping the future of credit reporting and financial inclusion across the region and beyond.

Throughout the day, it had been explored critical topic such as transformative use of alternative data in credit risk assessment, including the Agro Bureau in Brazil, emphasizing the vital role agriculture-related data plays in expanding credit activity with enhanced scores as well as giving visibility to credit to small and family farmers.

It was delved into the power of Artificial Intelligence in enabling financial inclusion, cross border credit information sharing, the evolving role of Public Credit Registries concerning data completeness and accuracy, and about threats and solutions to enable trusted identity verification in the digital environment.

Also to highlight is the roundtable discussion on developments in credit reporting shared from regulators and from credit bureaus, which is fostering the collaboration among jurisdictions, regulators and credit bureaus.
