The sector will also postpone the inclusion of debts that are in the process of being communicated in the database, and will cancel the display of notes registered after the calamity is decreed.<\/p>\r\n<p>The measure came into effect on May 1, the date on which the calamity was declared, and will be applied retroactively. \u201cThe idea is that, with this suspension, creditors, consumers and companies will be able to talk and renegotiate their credits in a responsible way so that the economy and social welfare can be re-established in a sustainable way in the state,\u201d said ANBC president Elias Sfeir in a statement.<\/p>\r\n<p>A similar measure was taken by banks in April 2020, in the face of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
