The message claims that the recipient needs to pay off a debt in order to increase their credit score. The tax referred to is non-existent. The communication makes improper use of the Receita Federal logo and the false signature of a tax auditor.

The National Association of Credit Bureaus (ANBC), which represents the credit bureaus that manage the Positive Register - Boa Vista SCPC, Quod, Serasa Experian and SPC Brasil - warns that there is no tax on the regularization of the credit note.

“Increasing the credit score depends solely on the behavior of the consumer or company. Settling overdue debts that have put the borrower's name in bad standing, for example, is essential to increasing the score. Avoiding late payment of bills and invoices also has a positive impact on the score,” says Elias Sfeir, president of ANBC.

“The credit score, which ranges from 0 to 1,000, is the result of an analysis of the payment habits of an individual or company, and is equivalent to a financial resume. The higher the score, the more likely it is that the consumer or company will honor its commitments,” adds Sfeir.

If in doubt about any communication involving the Positive Registry or the credit note, ANBC suggests contacting the credit bureaus that manage the Positive Registry directly. Positive data.

Boa Vista: 3003-0101 (www.consumidorpositivo.com.br)

Quod: 3003-7863 (https://www.quod.com.br)

Serasa Experian: 0800 776 6606 (www.serasaconsumidor.com.br)

SPC Brazil: 0800-887-9105 (https://www.spcbrasil.org.br)

ANBC Press Relations

Regina Pimenta: (11) 98136.6835 regina@pimenta.com

Ana Carolina Rodrigues: (11) 98674.0348 anacarolina@pimenta.com

Follow on Google News Tax to regularize credit note is a scam, warns National Association of Credit Bureaus São Paulo, March 5, 2020: A postal notification sent on behalf of the Federal Revenue Service, which requires taxpayers to pay...

[254
438,437,125
post-2728","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sala-de-imprensa","tag-golpe","tag-imposto","tag-nota-de-credito","blog-post
["GET
