This is because this information about the borrower can facilitate access to resources that can guarantee families and entrepreneurs a smoother passage through this challenging time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Analyses based on more robust and accurate data result in greater security, precisely at a time when uncertainties are multiplying. This security is provided by the credit score, a kind of financial resume that summarizes payment habits. This account already includes the history of financing, credit cards and loans from financial institutions, and will soon include bills for ongoing services such as water, electricity, telephone and gas. With this data, companies that grant credit can make a more accurate individual assessment, taking into account the current moment and its particularities, offering lower interest rates on loans and better financing terms for those who offer a lower risk of default. With the Positive Registry, a momentary default is relativized by payment history, softening the impact on the credit rating.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>\u201cConfidence is only nurtured through information, which is why we believe that the Positive Registry will be an even more important tool in the post-pandemic scenario, allowing consumers and companies to access credit and recover more smoothly through fairer assessments,\u201d says Elias Sfeir, president of the National Association of Credit Bureaus (ANBC). As in Brazil, Sfeir notes that organizations all over the world point out that credit will be the main instrument for the recovery of the economy and social well-being after the pandemic.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>According to the executive, the payment of the emergency aid of R$ 600 by the Federal Government, which has already reached more than 50 million people, tends to accelerate the Cadastro Positivo, since it has promoted the inclusion of Brazilians who until then were outside the banking system and who can now create their payment history, benefiting from a fairer credit assessment. According to ANBC's estimate, which takes into account pre-pandemic data, over the course of this year, with the entry of other sectors of the economy as sources of information for the system, up to 150 million Brazilians could be included in the database.
